What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI seeks a current or aspiring, motivated Naval Marine Engineering Manager to join our Navy support organization. Our organization manages a multi-disciplinary portfolio of projects from across the spectrum of Research and Development (R&D) fields and requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated manager with a desire to solve customer problems and grow the portfolio. You do not necessarily need to have management experience, but the desire and drive to push yourself into a new career stage by doing anything it takes is a must. This position puts you in the center of a leadership team and is a learning-on-the-job position that can one day lead to running your own program.

  • Takes initiative by self-educating, taking ownership of tasking, and identifying new areas of responsibility based upon team needs and individual strengths.

  • Highly focused on maximizing customer satisfaction.

  • Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to initiate, build, and maintain customer relationships.

  • Possesses strong background in engineering, preferably naval engineering, with ability to quickly expand general engineering knowledge into more specific engineering disciplines.

  • Possesses an attention to detail in day-to-day tasking.

  • Highly responsive to communications and completion of resulting actions.

  • Extremely inquisitive nature with the ability to think critically.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of classical engineering experience.

  • Experience working directly with customers on technical projects.

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or related field.

  • 1-3 years personnel management that includes technical roles, task management, and customer interfacing.

  • Experience managing projects, budgeting, and resource planning.

  • Background providing engineering services to the marine industry.

  • Experience leading or writing proposal technical sections.
