CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector, is seeking a Radio Electronics QA Tester to support a contract in Boise, ID. You’ll focus on testing radio equipment using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to ensure that it is operating within specified parameters, and document and distribute results according to established procedures. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Program and update the firmware of radio equipment.

  • Perform routine testing tasks of various models of handheld radios using computerized automated test equipment.

  • Program radio equipment.

  • Update radio equipment firmware.

  • Print and distribute test results.

  • Filing of completed test result forms in the appropriate filing system.

  • Validate changes in test procedures.

  • Evaluate and adapt new methodologies and procedures to provide greater accuracy and efficiency while maintaining clear and open communication with Equipment and Development Engineering Staff ensuring they are aware of all changes.

  • Ensure Maintenance Supervisor is updated regularly of task progress, any issues or problems encountered, and other factors that may impact tasks.

  • Complete designated mandatory training, attend and participate in meetings, production and productivity tasks and events, shop orientation and shift change over meeting.

  • Comply with all safety regulations, procedures, practices, and guidelines at all times.

More About the Role:

The National Interagency Incident Communications Division (NIICD) is a partnership between the U.S. Forest Service (FS) and Department of the Interior (DOI) agencies. They provide portable emergency communications, frequency coordination, technical training, and airborne remote sensing imagery services in a professional, prompt and customer-oriented manner, while optimizing resources, and minimizing risks. The National Interagency Incident Communications Division currently owns over 11,200 hand held radios and 600 pieces of ancillary equipment (repeaters, aircraft links and base stations). This equipment is vital to the safety of personnel deployed to the field in support of wildland fire and “all-risk” incidents.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Able to lift and carry approximately twenty (20) pounds (lbs.)

  • Work for extended periods of time in a seven (7) foot (ft.) by seven (7) foot (ft.) Faraday Cage.

  • Sit for extended periods.

  • Walk around warehouse facilities.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience working at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) and in the Radio Shop

  • US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management work experience.

$33,700 - $65,300
