What You’ll Get to Do:
Serve as a Continuous Process Improvement Consultant and Coordinator for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance facility (PSNS & IMF) Bremerton, WA. This requires supporting a diverse team of professionals by providing facilitation, consulting, and project management support. This will require balancing multiple teams’ initiatives and operations at both the strategic and tactical levels. Required support will include, but will not be limited to, running meetings, facilitating and capturing Strategic Planning Sessions, data collection and entry, and detailed involvement in portfolio management, metrics, drafting white papers, statements of work, and other duties as required. Additionally, this position will require daily interaction with senior leaders and managers.
More About the Role:
Lead planning, execution and close-out actions for routine meetings, strategic off-site meetings, teleconferences and strategic planning sessions.
Enhance the methods, tools, effectiveness, and outcomes of Naval Shipyard Innovation and Implementation and ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives.
Support local and corporate Working Groups & Communities of Practice.
Foster an open exchange of ideas and best management practices; build business acumen and relationships; and enhance the professional knowledge, skills, and abilities of PSNS & IMF personnel at all levels of the Command.
Provide ongoing technical, logistical, training and facilitation services to increase individual and team competency within local teams.
Support Command strategic and tactical initiatives through portfolio management, action tracking and return on investment calculation and monitoring.
Provide consulting, coordination, and multi-media communication, as needed, to accomplish or assist with overall task management.
Provide tools and methods to analyze and assess program activities and initiatives, projected results, participant engagement, actual outcomes, and overall effectiveness of the supported teams, measures, metrics, and risk factors to aid decision making, program management, and action planning.
Provide ongoing technical, logistical, training/coaching and facilitation services to increase individual and team competency and effectiveness.
Provide information for various management systems.
Support, coordinate and manage customer expectations in preparation of documentation, deliverables, and staff assignment as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices and principles
Extensive project management experience
Must have (Active) Security Clearance
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
3-5 Years of job-related experience
Strong in MS Office suite, including Excel, MS Project, MS Teams, and Visio
Expert knowledge of and skills sufficient to perform a wide range of executive, managerial, and administrative support responsibilities and duties as necessary to assist customer successfully execute complex tasks.
Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation, selection, organization, and presentation of information in a concise and coherent manner.
Excellent interpersonal and professional skills enough to meet established and anticipated needs of the organization and to proactively determine the kinds of information required to meet proposed objectives and goals.

Naval or Shipyard Experience
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Shingo model knowledge and application experience
