What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has the need for a Transcription and Captioning Specialist to support the Media Services Center (MSC) as a critical component to the success of our contract in Chantilly, VA. MSC produces audio and video productions for federal agencies, and Section 508 of the U.S. Code requires any technology used by these agencies to be accessible by people with disabilities. Candidates for the Transcription and Captioning Specialist role will help MSC fulfill that mission. Duties include using technology-based software to generate transcriptions, maintain accuracy by performing quality assurance checks against generated transcriptions and utilizing captioning software to create .vtt caption files that accompany video and audio products posted on internal web sites. The candidate must have above-average typing skills, the ability to proofread, spellcheck and the willingness to quickly learn agency terminology, acronyms, names and other related items. The most successful candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines, a good understanding of media-related fields (video, multimedia and web), is capable of multi-tasking, possesses strong customer service skills and has project management experience. Transcription and Captioning Specialists are depended upon to meet and maintain customer expectations for Section 508 compliance as well as to provide timely, high-quality products that are critical in our Quality Assurance chain.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
2 years of relevant transcribing and captioning experience
Experience with Section 508 compliance and accessibility requirements
Competent experience with Microsoft Office
Above-average typing skills (60 wpm or better)
Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Associates degree or higher
Three years of relevant project experience

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $41,200-$82,400. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
