CACI International RF Communications & DSP Engineer I in Cary, North Carolina

Job Description

Under direct supervision provide Radio Frequency (RF) Communications and Digital Signal Processing support to work team. Work with a broad range of technologies on a multi-disciplinary design team.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop software to perform detection, demodulation and processing of RF communications systems

  • Research new signal processing techniques and modern RF communications standards as published in the literature and implement them in a software defined radio environment

  • Travel to other CACI Locations or Customer Sites as necessary

  • Perform other duties as required

  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

Minimum Qualifications: Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of RF Communications and Digital Signal Processing

  • Experience with detection, demodulation and processing of modern RF communications systems

  • Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) frameworks and standards such as Software Communications Architecture (SCA), GNU Radio, REDHAWK and X-Midas

  • Experience programming in a Linux environment using at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, or Python

  • Good verbal and writing skills with attention to detail and ability to create technical documentation and plans

  • Ability to obtain and retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline from accredited university and at least 0-2 years of related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Poly highly desired

  • The ability to rapidly prototype systems is desired

  • GPA 3.0 and above

  • Experience in government contractor working similar customer projects

  • Internship experience with similar products, technologies and/or industry
