What You’ll Get to Do:

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Change Management Lead is responsible for the daily oversight, integration, and governance of the Change and Configuration Management processes on a US government contract.

The Change Management Lead actively engages with the change management process across stakeholder’s multiple service providers to ensure that IT staff and ITSM tool sets are equipped for efficient and effective execution of the Change and Configuration Management processes. The Lead is also responsible for monitoring, measuring, enforcing, and continually improving those processes.

More About the Role:

  • Experience leading a Change Management team in the integration of processes across multiple MSPs and facilitating continuous service improvement across the MSP service ecosystem

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal Configuration and Change management policies, procedures and associated training plans

  • Conduct Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings. Actively participate in Change Control Meetings and provide change management insight and expertise to influence decisions

  • Develop change effectiveness metrics strategy and plan, and report on metrics related to the Change Management processes

  • Contribute to organizational efficiencies by monitoring, measuring and improving the change management process

  • Conduct, review and oversee the submitted change requests through the change management process, project readiness assessment

  • Provide direction across the US government and contract for proper resolution of change request issues and foster a common understanding of the Change Management processes scope, applicability, and key sub-processes including configuration and requirements management

  • Integrate the change management and configuration management tracking / ticketing systems across multiple MSPs, ensuring all changes to the operational environment can be traced through the documentation and approval process

  • Create reporting tools to accurately report change metrics. Create and maintain a Change Control dashboard

  • Oversees and manages repository for program artifacts

  • Organizes, writes, edits and produces technical documentation per project standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

  • Coordinates the quality-control activities required to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of each publication, including in-process and final reviews, editing for compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation, and change verification that quality publications are produced

  • Ensures documentation complies with all applicable specifications, standards, and other project constraints

  • Supports quality assurance efforts to ensure visual fidelity of all graphical materials

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field or applicable degree or experience required

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading Change and Configuration Management operations in an IT environment

  • Experience with Change Management tools and workflows

  • Ability to facilitate meeting of with Program and Government personnel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)

  • TS/SCI with poly required

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and TQM

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • ITIL v3 Foundations or ITIL 2011

  • ITIL Change Management certification
