Job Description

Our organization is currently seeking a Configuration Manager to help us ensure the performance, function, and appearance of our products are consistent. This involves managing the functional requirements, design, and operational information throughout each product's lifecycle. You will also develop migration plans and help oversee deployment. The Configuration Manager is responsible for ensuring the CM baseline of a customer’s IT Service Ecosystem is updated and maintained to a high degree of accuracy. The Configuration Manager’s organized, hands-on approach will help him/her stay ahead of challenges and deliver beyond expectations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Configuration Items (Cis) within this large-scale IT Service Ecosystem comprised of Cloud Hosting, Desktop, Networks, Cyber Security, and Operations and Maintenance (Tier 2) Service Provider (SP) contracts

  • Performs regular audits of the CM and AM baseline

  • Works closely with the IT Service Integrators and SP CM and Asset Managers to incorporate any relevant changes rolled into the operational baseline

  • Helps integrate the CM tracking / Change Management systems, ensuring all changes to the operational environment can be traced through the documentation and approval process.

  • Facilitates Government and contract reviews/boards approving Requests for Changes (RFCs)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with CM, AM, Property Management or Systems Engineering in an IT environment

  • Work with integrated product teams to ensure proper compliance with the data item description/contract requirements

  • Ability to facilitate meetings with Program and Government personnel

  • Ability to manage and help improve Headquarter and site CM processes, procedures and User Manuals

  • Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • CM Database (CMDB) experience

  • Experience in CDRLs/SDRLs. PLMs (Product Lifecycle Management), and DoD Government Contracts

  • Documenting/developing CM and AM processes & procedures

  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or AM modules

  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundations or ITIL 2011

  • ITIL Change Management Certification

  • Ability to prepare and conduct briefings to diverse audiences

  • TS/SCI with CI poly clearance
