What You’ll Get to Do:
You will use your specialized operating systems administration skills and familiarity with client networks to support the design, engineering and implementation of complex client networks. You will manage the operations and maintenance of a custom application. As an expert in network infrastructure, you will have the technical acumen and technical writing skills to develop, enhance, or revise security processes and policies and administrative/how to guides. You will work on a team of government and other contractor employees to enable specific systems’ functionality and reliability. You will analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. You will monitor systems performance and ensures compliance with security standards. You will inform network owners and client management regarding best practices, security standards, internal policy and implementation progress on a visible project.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
7+ years demonstrated experience with Linux system administration to include: SSH, SCP, 2-Factor Authentication, Pack Managers (yum, apt), SE Linux, Firewalls (iptables, nft)
Bachelors degree in related field
Experience with python3
Experience with LAMP stack implementation and troubleshooting
Experience developing administrative guides to document system troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading
Experience implementing and documenting security processes and policies
Experience with security scans and audits, POAMs, implementing policies (password, upgrade, patches, etc.)
Working knowledge of disaster recovery best practices
Familiar with perl, PHP, and shell scripting
Familiar with Apache configuration and troubleshooting, NFS/CIFS, HA Proxy, mySQL, SKS (gpg keyserver), Yubikey (ykval and ykkms)
Familiar with IPv6, interface bonding/teaming, PXE, Kickstart
Ability to work independently or under only general direction
Written and oral communication skills, including ability to present to diverse audiences
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a fast-paced environment
Active TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance
Demonstrated Technical writing skills to include:
Security Processes and Policies
Policies (password, upgrade, patches, etc.)
