What You’ll Get to Do:
As the Data Ingestion Specialist you will write, edit, test new parsers for application data formats.
Write/edit macros, scripts, and/or small programs to process, load, or analyze the data.
Provide operational logs, daily statistics, system messages
Perform Configuration Management on parser codes
Perform Data Quality Control
Serve as a communication channel to customer for data ingestion
Load data into production applications
Support data purges
Provide frequent reporting of statistics and metrics for ingestion
Troubleshoot and implement critical thinking to analyze and assess data formats for bulk data.
Provide support leveraging: Win OS, Apache LINUX, Hex Editors, Java, SQL and SQL Lite, Elastic Search, Mongo DB, HIVE repositories, JIRA ticketing, Linux OS, Proj. Mgmt. & Tracking tools, TAR, JAR, TARBELL QIP file formats, Python, SPLUNK, parsing concepts & schema formats, TCP files transport technologies, Amazon services.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active TS SCI with required Polygraph
Bachelor's degree or higher – IT Field OR 5 years experience in data ingest functions.
3+ years experience in data processing/parsing.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Strong Database experience
Experience with tools: Nifi, Win OS, Apache LINUX, Hex Editors, Java, SQL and SQL Lite, Elastic Search, Mongo DB, HIVE repositories, JIRA ticketing, Linux OS, Proj. Mgmt. & Tracking tools, TAR, JAR, TARBELL QIP file formats, Python, SPLUNK, parsing concepts & schema formats, TCP files transport technologies, Amazon services
