CACI is hiring engineers to assist in the designing efforts for a Voice over IP (VoIP) modernization effort. The candidates will provide Database expertise, administration support, and assistance with designing solutions to upgrade and replace VoIP based telecommunication systems. The candidate will work closely with other telecommunications/VoIP engineers and installers, network security engineers, and various other groups within the program.

More About the Role

  • Establish and maintain security and integrity controls.

  • Formulate and monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.

  • Propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

  • Identify customer database requirements and define optimal conceptual, logical and physical data models that address customer requirement and balances performance (e.g., indexes, views, snapshots) and storage (e.g., normalization, de-normalization).

  • Incorporate security, back-up, and disaster recovery into database designs as well as establish database parameters that maximize database performance.

  • Install, configure, and patch database management systems (DBMS) and write database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).

  • Control access permissions and privileges and ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly.

  • Conduct capacity planning.

  • Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security and provide Tier III support for the application technology stack.

  • Apply application, security, and database patches and verify shell/SQL scripts, packages, and stored procedures for system enhancements. Install and configure third party products that integrates with the underlying application.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • BA/BS and at least 7 years of related Database Administration experience. 10+ total years of IT experience. Added Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, with a minimum, Secret DoD security clearance.

  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter and highly proactive

  • Understanding and Deployment of Multiple Databases to include:

  • Microsoft SQL

  • Oracle 12C Standard

  • PostgreSQL

  • MySQL

  • Database Management and Maintenance

  • Maintenance Plans

  • Backup Plans

  • Security

  • STIG

  • Access Control

  • Windows AD

  • CAC Card Access

  • Redundant Databases

  • Always On

  • Replication

  • Certifications (must be 8570 compliant with a combination of the following):

  • CCNP

  • CCNA

  • ASAC

  • ASDC

  • Security +

  • Server These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Understanding of DoD hardening standards

  • Experience with Group Policy, DNS, and acquiring and implementing DoD generated certificates.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with other VoIP Equipment (Ribbon, Cisco, Avaya, etc.)

  • Cisco (CCNP, CCNA, CCIE) or Avaya (ASAC, ASDC, etc.) certifications (Bonus)

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
