Job Description

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. CACI will support TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

  • Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.lines in accordance with the strategy and goals of the organization.

  • Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.

  • Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.

  • Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.).

  • Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

  • Tracks current plans that will require IT resources.

  • Monitors and reviews the success of systems and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Recommends future computer system technologies that will help in the improvement of business in the organization.

  • Integrates IT solution systems for the business with the existing client systems.

  • Provides guidance to management for current and proposed investments existing and prospective intellectual property and/or technical infrastructure. My conduct design studies in pursuit of new program opportunities. Constructs the overall system architecture of technical solution, to include external and internal interface analysis, internal interface definition, and functional requirement allocations. May lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists responsible for the research and development of technical solutions and architectures in support of program objectives.


  • Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business

  • Implements strategic technical direction and architectural strategy. Performs disciplined systems architectures analysis as it relates to technical solutions.

  • Establishes system architectural design and functional requirements for technical solutions, to include external and internal interface analysis, definition and requirement allocation.

  • Manages a large team or multiple smaller teams which would typically consist of both experienced professionals.

  • Responsible for development of novel solutions to engineering problems.

  • Subject matter expert understanding of cutting edge technologies and innovative equipment; key technical contributor and leader of team in design, prototype, development, analysis, and execution of technical solutions in support of customer architectural and engineering requirements, proficient in the evaluation and analysis of current and future technologies.

  • Identifies discrepancies between the enterprise technical architecture and systems designs proposed by project teams, and assists project teams in resolving the discrepancies.

  • Builds and uses analysis models and techniques to support the evaluation of current and proposed future architectures.

  • Identifies and assesses architectural and technological risks with the potential to impact customer or company plans; develops associated risk mitigation risks.

  • Defines IT architecture issues and allocates requirements. Identifies hardware and software architectural needs and solutions.

  • Establishes project development approach to achieve reliable results.

  • Researches current and future technological trends, developments and applications.

  • Acts as an advisor to engineers and proposes changes to the technical architecture based on analysis of requirements and new technology.

  • Works closely with users to provide guidance in the identification and resolution of user problems and concerns.

  • Analyzes and resolves failures in test and operation based upon deep knowledge of system operation and architecture.

  • Adheres to configuration management and documentation practices.

Required Skills:

  • Contract requires a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years related work experience.

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain a DHS TSA Entrance on Duty (EOD)

Desired Skills:

  • Relevant TSA DHS focused experience
