Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs software and application installation and upgrades.

  • Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.

  • Installs and repairs desktops and laptops.

  • Maintains network printers and scanners.

  • Supports mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones.

  • Investigates basic user problems, identifies their source, determines possible solutions, tests and implements solutions.

  • Helps to anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.

  • Establishes and performs routine maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.

  • Ensures timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.

  • Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.

  • May assist other technical teams in on-site tasks when local resources are not present.

  • Documents technical problems and resolutions for future reference.

  • Works with other IT professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of related experience.

  • Must be proficient with Windows desktop operating systems, as well as Dell hardware.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook.

  • Must have a solid understanding of network communications.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication as well as customer service skills.

  • Must have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

  • Must have excellent time management skills.

  • Must be able to obtain secret clearance

  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with end users by telephone and email.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BitLocker and Windows Hello support

  • OneDrive, Skype for Business and Office 365 experience

  • Cisco Call Manager experience
