What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI’s Enterprise Solutions Group provides enterprise IT services and solutions across the breadth of CACI customers, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, civilian agencies, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). One of those successful solutions is the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) suite of applications. WAWF is a mature, vibrant and growing project that currently covers the functional areas within the DoD end-to-end procurement model. WAWF is a paperless contracting DoD-wide effort designed to eliminate paper from the receipt/acceptance process of the DoD contracting life cycle.

In support of this system CACI is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to define and document business requirements and translate business requirements to functional, user, system requirements in support of system development. This person will work as part of a dynamic team supporting mission critical systems that are being expanded and integrated. This person requires an individual with a background in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Requirements Development, and working with a Software Development Team. The candidate should be a self-starter, with strong communication skills, have a desire to explore and solve problems, and be willing to work constructively across teams.

The Junior Business Analyst will also document Business Requirements based on Stakeholder and Customer interactions and will develop Software Requirements documentation that translate business requirements into detailed user, functional and system level requirements for each Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). The Junior Business Analyst will support the project team to ensure that implementation meets specification/requirements and customer expectations for each enhancement and change to the WAWF system. They will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for each ECP they are responsible for and will facilitate all requirement gathering sessions with customer/stakeholders to define and document requirements as well as all meetings within the Project Team to ensure each change is implemented properly per customer requests.

The Junior Business Analyst will be a strong team player who is able to work effectively and efficiently, even in high schedule pressure situations. They will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to properly prioritize and multi-task. Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle is important, in both Waterfall and Agile project teams. The Analyst must have effective communication skills and be able to coordinate with the Development and Testing teams to understand new enhancements and requirements. The Analyst will also closely support system testing to ensure application functionality works correctly and meets the clients’ needs.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 1 – 3 years of related experience.

  • Solid Analytical Skills (ability to analyze and document business requirements)

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment, review business requirements while improving on the business needs.

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiar with one or more of the following: DoD Contracting, DoD Purchase/Acquisition, DoD Supply/Logistics and/or DoD Payment processing.

  • Familiar with JIRA, Atlassian Products, and similar tools.

  • Consulting background a plus.
