CACI is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area. As a Logistics Analyst you will be responsible for contributing across a variety of logistics related disciplines.
You will be expected to provide expertise in equipment accountability in accordance with Department of Defense procedures as well as demonstrate hands-on skills and abilities on a regular basis.
The Logistics Analyst will integrate within teams of divergent skill sets in performing discrete tasks and projects within the National Capital Region, as well as potentially throughout the United States and overseas.
More About the Role
Provides logistics expertise while coordinating with a variety of program managers, project engineers, and others to provide input into warehouse operations.
Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, and related information to identify and document logistics requirements for maintenance and support requirements.
Reviews engineering designs and analyzes equipment characteristics to provide logistics support.
Develops and prepares manuals, bulletins, and information systems to provide logistics support.
Conducts required property inventories, equipment transfers, and ensures property accountability across a large portfolio.
Provides recommendations with regards to logistics best practices and develops new processes and procedures to increase performance and efficiency.
Familiarity with DA PAM 700-142 or other customer logistics and property accountability manuals, regulations, and directives.
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance
Minimum Education: B.S. or relevant experience in related field.
Minimum/General Experience: 5-7 years of related experience.
Ability to travel periodically (day trips) within the National Capital Region to conduct inventories or other logistics activities. Ability to take infrequent trips to various locations within the Continental United States and overseas.
Demonstrate experience conducting property inventories and in equipment accountability techniques in accordance with Department of Defense procedures.
Experience with property accountability applications like SAP is desirable.
Must be able to walk for long periods of time within a warehouse or customer workplace setting to conduct inventories and inspect equipment.
Inventories and inspections may also require bending, squatting, and maneuvering around crowded locations.
Must be able to lift and move 50 lb equipment and boxes.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. This can involve developing and delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
