What You’ll Get to Do
Work with an Agile software development team supporting the Navy. You will be responsible for updating front end (Java, Python and JavaScript) or back end (Oracle database) code for applications to be deployed in unclassified and classified production environments. This includes implementing best practices to develop secure code for each application. We are looking for a motivated and highly responsive software engineer that can ensure high software quality to support the mission of our Navy customer.
More About the Role
Design, develop, and implement software modifications in response to system change requests.
Implement software enhancements and add new functionality based on Government directed requirements.
Troubleshoot system software defects.
Analyze system database performance to recommend and implement improvements.
Mitigate software security vulnerabilities to ensure cyber compliance.
Support application release pipeline in development environments.
Use JIRA to track all code and database changes through agile scrum process.
Analyze current system architecture and propose solutions to upgrade as newer technological advances become available.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field).
2 or more years of Java, Python, or similar programming experience and/or experience with writing PL/SQL code.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
Active or Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Experience with AWS RDS for Oracle.
Strong experience with database development.
Experience with DoD PPBE data and processes.
Experience with Python frameworks such as Django.
Security+ Certification.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
