CACI International Satellite Field Technician in Chantilly, Virginia
What You’ll Get to Do:
With little to no supervision, perform wide-area network installation services to customers both CONUS and OCONUS. These services include the installation of Enterprise Network equipment as well as Satellite Communications Systems.
Information Technology experience in Customer environment
Knowledge of OCONUS field communications
SATCOM experience (X, C, Ku, and Ka Band)
Familiarity with ICOM/Motorola/Harris equipment and its use
Considerable knowledge of operations, maintenance and management communications security systems including cryptographic equipment and accounts
Ability to independently resolve most field/base infrastructure issues
Ability to train and provide details to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to adhere to security and safety standards
Ability to independently perform specialized equipment and systems installations, modifications, and upgrades.
5+ years of experience
Ability to test, identify, and resolve most tier 1 and tier 2 equipment and system problems
Willingness to perform extended TDYs in dangerous/hostile environments
Ability to be medically and administratively cleared for travel
Ability to successfully qualify for weapons training
Fiber optic cable, single-mode and multi-mode
Satellite systems from 1 to 5 meters (X, C, Ku, and Ka Bands)
Experience and education:
Must be able to lift 75 lbs, bend, kneel, and climb ladders. Must be able to trace cable under raised floors, and above drop ceilings.
Must be able to pass overseas travel physical
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiarization with ISO 9001:2015 procedures
Experience in war theaters and OCONUS travel
