What You’ll Get to Do:
Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Senior Network Infrastructure Design Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) across multiple security domains. The engineer will advise and support the current and future design, integration and implementation of pathways, spaces, fiber- and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and infrastructure for the customer in accordance with Industry and Department of Defense Policies and Standards.
More About the Role:
Identify, design, integrate and implement telecommunications and data technology for integration into the existing enterprise architecture for voice, data, electronic safety & security, project management and audio & video technologies, voice, video and data cable network distribution systems
Design, integration and installation of pathways, spaces, fiber- and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and infrastructure
Perform calculations, equipment specifications, on new and existing system designs / layouts, and provide recommendations
Assist with execution of supporting documentation of all network plant cabling configuration upgrades, additions or revisions before implementation
Develop strategies for integrating new and existing network infrastructure into the Enterprise architecture.
Design, solution and document structured cabling systems, network outside plant, wireless electronic safety & security design, and in Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews of structured cabling for new and existing architecture.
Support front-end engineering and design of architectural telecommunications design
Possess in-depth product and application knowledge of passive and active infrastructure supporting Wide-Area-Networks, Loca-Area-Networks, power, cooling and BAS.
Work to be performed in accordance with industry and Department of Defense standards, policies and procedures
Attend customer technical exchange meetings.
Travel to secondary sites as required performing network design assessments, infrastructure maintenance and upgrades
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Clearance: TS/SCI CI Polygraph Clearance
Degree: Bachelors Degree and/or comparable experience required in an approved technical field of study or have achieved two or more approved Industry Certifications
Certification: Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD)
Travel: Up to 10%
8+ years information and communication design experience with exposure to facility design within the last 5 years is required
Demonstrated understanding of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) system which provides planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria, applicable to Department of Defense Agencies
Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance with strong written communication skills interpersonal skills

Registered Information Technology Professional (RITP) Certification
Network Technology Systems (NTS) Designer
ICT Design Fundamentals
Outside Plant (OSP) Designer
Masters of Science in approved technical field of study
