What You’ll Get to Do

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior Level) for a government support contract working in WMA. The Senior Systems Engineer will support our client with the transformation of multiple applications into cloud-based designs and the modernization of business processes supporting the Intelligence Community.

More About the Role

As a Member of a software development team you will work with the government customer transforming legacy applications into a cloud environment. Work closely with customers to define requirements, implement business logic and refine applications. Provide oversight and strategic direction in the enterprise and system Architecture practices, principles, documentation, and governance. Provide system engineering support across the enterprise’s IT disciplines (i.e. Virtual & Physical Servers, Cloud technologies, Network, etc). Provide technical leadership for the integration of IT requirements, design, and technology. Assist with the capability development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system engineering integration and test plans. Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an IT related field 6 years of related experience; or a Masters with 4 years of experience; an Associates with 8 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with customer domain and expert technical knowledge.

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud migration solutions and hybrid cloud management solutions.

  • 2+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of new software products or major enhancements to existing software in an agile environment

  • Experience in an agile development environment working in a matrix team

  • Experience refactoring legacy code and/or applications in a cloud native environment

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of server-fewer computing concepts

  • Demonstrated experience of system disaster recovery/COOP and backup solution engineering, implementation, and operation management.

  • In-depth experience in VMWare and other virtualization technologies.

  • Successful track record in providing technical leadership in delivering architecture, engineering, and operation services.

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework, high availability, and enterprise infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated integration experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL in a cloud native environment

  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and maintaining the Information Technology Infrastructure associated with an IT system hosted in the C2S environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Strong public speaking skills and professional demeanor required. Ability to create original documentation.

  • Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job; Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments, to include customer governance, policy definitions, policy management and automation, and customer interfaces used to deliver integrated security solutions across multiple security domains is desired

  • ITIL Foundation Certification

  • AWS Developer Certification and/or AWS DevOps Certification

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Professional Scrum Master

  • BS/ M.S. in Systems Engineering or Information Technology

  • Experience with the ServiceNow toolset
