CACI International Software Engineer – Test Automation in Chantilly, Virginia
The Test engineer -Automation will employ framework-based UI and unit/integration testing methods in a Hadoop-based data warehousing context, to automate the validation of changing software components across the layers of the warehouse architecture, including ETL, Hive, Cognos and SAS based software artifacts. The test engineer will work with the product team(s) to write and implement test cases in a coded style and maintain the resulting test automation architecture in GIT-based software configuration management, and work with the team to evolve the architecture in support of a DevSecOps model.
The engineer may research, evaluate and recommend tools and strategies in support of her work. The test engineer will monitor and report on the ongoing test execution throughout the sprint cycle to ensure software component quality and compliance against C&A standards, and make continuous adjustments to verification.
Typically has a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
At least three years of work in the United States. The successful candidate must be able to pass a CMS/HHS background check.
Writes code to implement test scripts that validate the warehouse architecture software.
Creates automation test plans and find solutions to improve end-to-end test coverage
Develop test-related frameworks and scripts, and integrate test architecture with CI/CD pipeline.
Document automation test procedures and mentor others in their proper usage.
Proficiency in more than one of the following languages: Java, Python and Perl. Experience in a representative set of code based test tools/frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, CodedUI, AutoIT, etc.
Experience working and scripting in an *NIX environment.
Ability to utilize SQL scripting for data verification and test generation.
Understanding of software development techniques and methods
Be able to apply analytical skills to decomposing requirements and constructing tests around their subject
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced agile team environment, review business requirements and testing solutions meeting while improving on the business needs.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
Experience with CI/CD pipeline under AWS environment.
Familiarity with a continuous integration tool such as Jenkins.
Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence
Familiarity with automation & development including, but not limited to: Groovy, puppet, Ruby,
