What You’ll Get to Do:

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced QA tester with strong analytical skills with understanding of Data Warehouse and ETL processes. The candidate must be well versed in data analysis as well as modeling efficient methods for working with large volumes of data. The candidate should be proficient with writing SQL, testing SQL, PL/SQL, ETL code, and more. This position will interface will multiple teams. The candidate should have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail. As part of a multi-disciplined development team, the candidate should take the initiative to attack new challenges and learn new skills independently. This person must be well organized and flexible to work on testing/requirements/configuration management tasks based on the project needs.

More About the Role:

  • Responsible for developing, conducting, and reporting independent verification testing of data sources and database content

  • Plan, coordinate, analyze and develop test plans, test scripts, test cases and test data for functional and interface testing.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure the code written complies with the requirements

  • Produce Test Summary Reports, Test Plans and Test Results.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Typically has a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.

  • At least three years of work in the United States. The successful candidate must be able to pass a CMS/HHS background check.

  • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Warehousing testing - experience with ETL processes and verification of such processes

  • Efficiently work with large volume data, temp tables, views, and materialize views

  • Experience working with large databases

  • Experience in writing test strategy, test scripts and capturing test results

  • Understanding of data modeling fundamentals especially relational data modeling

  • Familiarity with using tools like Toad, Oracle SQL Developer, Excel etc.

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Ability to work in a time critical environment and prioritize work load effectively

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Hadoop, HIVE (HQL) or NoSQL databases will be a great plus

  • Agile development environment (Sprints, Daily Scrums, and Multiple Work Streams)

  • IT practices and lifecycles (i.e. Agile, Spiral, and Waterfall Models)

  • Configuration and release management procedures (CRs, Defects, and Enhancements)

  • GIT, Jira and Confluence

  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
