Job Description

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. CACI will support TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Works on a team responsible for managing the TSA STIP infrastructure and the Operations and Maintenance of the Network Infrastructure. This infrastructure includes multiple, disparate Tier 1 and Tier 2 network architectures. Individual shall operate, monitor, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices and services. Establishes and maintains smooth operation of network equipment and systems (to include operating systems, software and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintains system integrity, and upgrades systems and/or network equipment as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems.

  • Monitor network operations on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis

  • Provide technical expertise to resolve network and other operational events and trouble tickets

  • Deliver notifications and alerts of critical operational events and incidents

  • Perform end-to-end performance monitoring and system management

  • Provide an engineering resource to support data communications and related applications requirements.

  • Manages and assists in the configuration of routers, switches, etc.

  • Recommend and implement network policies and procedures, and ensures adherence to security procedures

  • Provides compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.

  • Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.

  • Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.

  • Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network

Required Skills:

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years related work experience

  • Detail oriented

  • Flexible – The environment is highly dynamic. You will be expected to keep up with the changing environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness

  • Team Player – This role is part of a much larger team
