CACI International Vendor Management Specialist (Lead/Advisor) in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Description

The Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program’s mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving and is responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks. This program is managed within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Vendor Management Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end software vendor management activities, including but not limited to partnering with internal stakeholders, data analysis, research, negotiation strategy development, proposal analysis, and product fulfillment. The individual contributor will also be tasked with supporting management in key high-level vendor management initiatives by managing the Vendor Consortium and participating in procurement activities. This position requires dedicated problem solving, vendor identification, internal customer relations, vendor relationship building and the ability to drive cost savings, and vendor management.

More About the Role:

  • Manage the Vendor Consortium program and associated processes

  • Maintain Vendor Database

  • Serve as the central Point of Contact (POC) for the Vendor Consortium and as the front-facing POC with vendor partners

  • Create successful relationship with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization

  • Be the main point of contact to liaise between the Program and various product providers in end-to-end vendor operational processes

  • Demonstrate strong discipline in balancing cost and quality to achieve performance targets

  • Facilitate communications between Program cross-functional teams and vendor teams

  • Work closely with respective teams to understand Capability and Component needs

  • Lead regular vendor meetings and business reviews and hold vendors accountable against performance targets

  • Drive strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives and best practices to control costs, drive service excellence, and introduce innovation

  • Identify and communicate to the Customer the broader operational and transformation implications of their technology purchases

  • Maintain “expert level” thought leadership proficiency on licensing and Software Asset Management (SAM)

  • Perform complex financial evaluations of proposals, business case scenarios, and transformation costs and risks associated with technology deployment

  • Ensure effective vendor selection and evaluation

  • Identify cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities

  • Negotiate best in class price, quality, terms and conditions, and service levels for IT solutions and services

  • Track progress and report status of issues that have been escalated

  • Maintain compliance with corporate and government regulations involving gifts and gratuities

This position is under supervision of the Business Operations Manager but individual is expected to operate independently.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be clearable to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience

  • 5+ years of related experience with government procurement processes and policies

  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge in software license management and/or vendor management

  • Demonstrated experience presenting and selling ideas at multiple levels in a large organization

  • Experience managing complex projects and aggressive timelines

  • Proficient in the use of business systems (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Past experience as a partner manager interfacing with OEMs with VAR highly desired.

  • Understanding of enterprise sourcing cultures and behaviors

  • Interact and influence effectively at an executive level with government Customers and stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
