Job Description

CACI is searching for a Web Media Software Architect who will be responsible for the overall design, development, sustainment, and relevancy of an internal media communications portal and cloud based content management system environment in accordance with contract requirements and government policies, procedures and guidelines. The Web Media Software Architect shall direct all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Responsible for the identification and management of the customer base and ensuring that the portal system satisfies customer needs. This position will manage the direction of the media portal project through the project lifecycle in conjunction with client and program policies and processes with project objectives.

The Web Media Software Architect will be responsible for project management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, and support for new business development. The analysis, design, programming, testing and deployment are all managed by the Web Media Software Architect.

The Web Media Software Architect will be expected to act as the lead person on all software development projects, including the creation of a team of workers suitable for the scope of the project, assigning duties to the staff, creating a timeline for the project, and performing cost analysis and budgeting functions.

The Web Media Software Architect must document every aspect of a system or application. These documents will serve as references for new employees and for future maintenance on the system. The Web Media Software Architect must be able to communicate effectively and clearly through writing and be able to create flowcharts and diagrams.

The Web Media Software Architect will mentor subordinates and should have prior experience coaching and mentoring a development team.

The Web Media Software Architect must be technically-inclined, a great problem-solver, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Must be a proven leader and be extremely reliable. Must work well under pressure and tight deadlines.


  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in an IT related field plus ten to twelve years of related experience, including experience with web technologies and documenting requirements/assessments.

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly

  • Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies

  • Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns

  • Understanding of various coding methods and computer languages

  • Data modeling and database design experience

  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes

  • Experience with service oriented architecture (SOA)

  • Must have experience managing cloud-based projects

  • Content management systems experience is required
