Geospatial Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary:

Provides geospatial intelligence analytic expertise in a high-demand complex environment to achieve DoD customer goals in Charlottesville, Virginia. This position supports a multi-INT fused team solving difficult problems that vary between projects, and includes long-term project efforts. GEOINT analysis includes imagery exploitation and production, and geographic information system (GIS) data analysis and production to create intelligence solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Must possess current TS/SCI clearance.

Must be willing to take a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6-9 years of relevant experience.

Expert in analyzing data with a spatial and/or temporal component for trends and correlations to other datasets.

Desired Skills:

Intelligence experience in a fusion environment. Knowledgeable in intelligence disciplines' capabilities, limitations, and platforms to include HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and OSINT.

Knowledgeable in developmental and experimental GEOINT collection and processing capabilities.

Experience with imagery analysis.

Experience in developing geospatial and data-driven workflows and propagating them across a team.

Working knowledge of ArcPro.

Responsibilities:

Queries, assesses, integrates, manipulates, and analyzes digital data and imagery (full spectrum literal and non-literal), both geospatial and research databases, and various ancillary sources; extracts data from imagery to create spatial databases.

Researches and gathers information; completes data analysis and evaluation, geospatial data reformat and conversion, and photo interpretation.

Produces multi-INT-enriched geospatial products tailored to answer customer intent and requirements.

Translates GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for imagery or queries using all available imaging sensors or GEOINT databases. Interacts with professional colleagues to communicate research mission, issues, and geospatial requirements.

Performs intelligence analysis on various sources of imagery, including Electro-Optical (EO), Spectral, Thermal Infrared (TIR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), and various sources of GIS data, including spatio-temporal event data.

Performs data fusion by combining various types of data to create a product with an increased level of understanding of the targeted area than can be achieved with a single data source.

Identifies additional collection platforms and datasets that provide valuable insights or added value to the program's analysis.

Uses Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) techniques to mine large GIS and temporal datasets for analytic leads and developmental opportunities.
