CACI International AWS Cloud Software Developer in Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Description

CACI is seeking an AWS Cloud Software / DevOps Developer on a large program that supports MSC-IBS (Military Sealift Command - Integrated Business Systems). The program is based in the Norfolk, VA area, but the position may be 100% remote. Applicants must be US Citizens and preferably possess an active Secret or higher clearance.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

  • Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development efforts using CloudFormation, PowerShell, Python, PERL, or related languages.

  • Implement and support deployment of solutions via the program’s CI/CD pipeline.

  • Automate deployment, patching, monitoring, and maintenance activities.

  • Consult with other developers and assist with increased use of cloud-native capabilities in software solutions.

  • Communicate the benefits of following DevSecOps practices in support of information system sustainment efforts.

  • Oversee effective design, development, and validation.

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure that solutions are designed, developed, and integrated in alignment with a target architecture.

  • Develop, design, and implement cost-effective migration solutions and strategies.

  • Improve cloud-based network security, performance, and reliability via industry and DoD standard design practices.

    You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Infrastructure as Code and agile methodologies (e.g., scrum).

  • Strong understanding of core AWS services.

  • Demonstrate how DevOps (DevSecOps) practices are applied in an operational environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or engineering, or close technical equivalent).

  • 1 year Demonstrated Cloud Experience (AWS or Azure preferred).

  • 2+ years’ Software Development and/or IT Operations Experience involving code creation (scripting) in a team environment. (Preferably in an agile, DevOps environment)

  • Strong communication skills.

  • SECRET clearance / Ability to get clearance .

  • CompTIA Security+ certification desired

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Linux system administration background

  • Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS experience.

  • Experience with Java Stack tools including: Java, Gradle, JSP, MyBATIS, Angular, ext.js, Spring

  • Experience with Database tools including: SAP (ASE & ASA), and SQL Server.

  • AWS Certified Developer
