CACI is seeking an experienced software developer with an extensive backing in C#, C/C++ to join our Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) team at Norfolk.

You will leverage your experience in developing complex C#, C/C++ based client-server applications to maintain and enhance the Navy’s premier C2 Supply Family of Systems. You will have a key role in the development and delivery of VMWare based virtualized solutions. As an experienced software developer, you will be actively involved in the full development lifecycle of various enterprise level projects. Your level of involvement will extend to tasks such as the development of technical documentation, white papers, and end user documentation. You will continuously promote the use of software development best practices and identify specific areas for process improvement. You will also assist your team members in identifying security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations. From a security perspective your approach will be based on your adherence to applicable DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) when developing software.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizen.

  • SECRET clearance - must be current.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or related).

  • Meet T5, IT-I requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 8 years + of related experience.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge of and experience with C#, C/C++ Demonstrated Knowledge of and experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, VMware workstation).

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of VMware application virtualization suite ThinApp.

  • Demonstrated experience with some of the following: Java, JBoss, Perl, batch scripting, ISQL, PowerBuilder.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of software engineering processes.

  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of DoD's Systems Engineering Technical Processes and Technical Management Processes.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge of and experience with working on a DoD, DoN systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and presenting technical documentation, white papers, System Administration Guides, etc.

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of relational database management software with SAP Sybase ASE experience.

  • A demonstrated Knowledge of and experience in with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 2016, Windows 2019).

  • Possess a strong understanding of information security and secure coding techniques. Experience working with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Ability to learn new processes and propose IT solutions to suit end-users' needs.

  • Ability to develop concepts, evaluate data and work towards practical solutions.

  • Ability to work effectively on various types of complex integrated multi-disciplinary systems in different application domains, in different portions of the system lifecycle, in team and alone.

  • Ability to communicate systems engineering principles to others.

  • Basic network administration knowledge.

Highly desirable items include:

  • OOMA experience - a plus.

  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) – a plus.

  • Windows server installation, configuration, and management – a plus.
