CACI's MSC-IBS program is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to design a Data Lake and Analytics solution.

You will be supporting our product lead in transforming multiple data feeds and requirements into long-lived designs and data products that scale with the business needs. With your skills, you will work with other driven data professionals to construct and implement a data lake and its analytics platform to produce operational intelligence, empowering our customer to make data-driven decisions and accomplish their data goals. Design, update, and validate cloud native data lake architecture
Participate as a scrum team member, supporting story development, refinement, estimation, and execution.
Participate and contribute as a development team representative during blueprinting sessions with customer stakeholders.
Participate in data security discussions and implementing security controls for the platform.
Support the development and delivery of a continuous data science lifecycle for the data lake and analytics environment
8+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role.
5+ years experience of Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation
3+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
Experience with one or more of the following Hadoop tools: Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Hue, Zookeeper, HCatalog, Solr, Avro
Experience with one or more SQL-on-Hadoop technology (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto)
Experience with Apache Airflow or equivalent data pipeline engine
Experience in building data structures in compute agnostic storage formats: Apache Parquet or Iceberg
Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Scala)
Experience in systems integration between data-focused tools
Experience with a general-purpose statistical package program (R, SAS, SPSS, Minitab)
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Shiny or Dash
Experience building immutable cloud platforms leveraging Infrastructure as Code such as CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or AWS CDK
Experience in ML and Data Science development lifecycles, such as CRISP-DM or TDSP.
Experience implementing processes and controls meeting CMMI’s Data Management Maturity Model assessments or implementing DAMA DMBoK aligned solutions
Must have an active Secret clearance or be obtainable
Expertise – Cloud-first designs targeting AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, EC2 and EKS. Will also demonstrate expertise in Apache Airflow pipelines and scientific notebook solutions written for JupyterLab and/or RStudio.
Demonstrated Experience – Demonstrated history of building data lakes or stratified lake house architectures with complex data zones.
Solutions - Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, creating packaged Data and Analytics service offerings.
Delivery - Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Engagements will include migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services.
