Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

You will provide Contract Specialist support to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Specifically, you will analyze requirements and use innovation and technology to draft and coordinate quality pre-award documents, including performance work statements, statements of work, requirements and specifications, acquisition plans, justifications, memorandums, and evaluation plans. You will also recommend acquisition strategy and assist with drafting acquisition policy and procedures.

More About the Role:

You will provide a range of support, not to include those things inherently governmental, to include:

  • Drafting Federal Government acquisition procedures and policy;

  • Performing agency-wide acquisition management reviews and analysis;

  • Preparing requirement documents such as performance based work statements, SOWs, etc.;

  • Supporting interdisciplinary functional acquisition teams;

  • Preparing pre-award and award documentation for all types of acquisitions with a strong emphasis on service contracting and information technology acquisitions;

  • Supporting source selections and drafting source selection documents; and

  • Supporting agency level technical and contract management.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;

  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience;

  • Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Federal Government acquisition processes and procedures;

  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR);

  • Experience with NARA procurement policies and procedures desirable;

  • Strong ability to work with interdisciplinary functional acquisition teams; and

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
