CACI International Jr System Test Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Job Description

Be part of a great team of professionals on the Consolidated Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Modifications, Maintenance and Operations (CAMMO) program. In performing system test activities for all modification and sustainment efforts, you will be indirectly supporting the continued delivery of telemetry, tracking and commanding (TT&C) capabilities to a variety of AFSCN users.

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a member of the System Test & Evaluation (ST&E) Test Execution Team, you will be asked to support the planning, development, execution, and reporting of System Level Lab and Site Tests. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and may require occasional travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops hardware test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk

  • Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods

  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware

  • Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools

  • Supports development of test debrief material

  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data

  • Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer

  • Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data

  • Prepares test reports for review

  • Works under general supervision

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in hardware test planning, setup, execution and reporting

  • 1-2 years of experience conducting tests in a lab or production environment

  • 1-2 years of experience conducting verification, test, and/or data analysis

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods

  • Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk

  • Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools

  • Supports development of test debrief material

  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data

  • Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer

  • Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data

  • Prepares test reports for review

  • Works under general supervision

  • Willing to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance. This requires US citizenship, no drug use and clear background check.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Understanding of the complete system development life cycle

  • Knowledge of working within the DoD or AFSCN domain

  • Ability to evaluate manual test procedures and design appropriate automation scripts

  • An understanding of software testing, concepts and philosophies; creative problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of requirement analysis

  • Analyzing system requirements to develop and evaluate complex test specifications, test results and test trends

  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Experience with VersionOne Agile Management Suite

  • Experience with the AFSCN
