CACI seeks a talented Software Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector.
What You’ll Get to Do :
Support software development and sustainment processes of the NOPS LANCE system supporting satellite on-orbit and launch activities. Participate in an Agile software development environment to design and develop software builds, provide input to formal testing, assist in integration, and respond to user concerns. Collaborate with engineering staff, operators, customers, and vendors on regular basis to support the engineering process, collect/clarify software requirements, and coordinate integration with COTS products. Maintain software documentation for configuration and baseline control. Additional general areas of responsibility include:
Manage software project and baselines
Review and provide analysis of software requirements to help determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Provide input to user training on the software
Train other software engineers for cross-training and knowledge sharing
More About the Role:
Leader supporting Office of Space Launch NOPS mission, operations personnel, and infrastructure.
Maintain awareness of system requirements and any complaints to identify areas of concern or improvement
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and transparency
Works with the enterprise to solve mission challenges with processes and technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks.
Maintains systems operations, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance
Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph, will consider without a poly if willing to take one
3 years software engineering experience
BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience in working within an Agile methodology
Software language experience: Java, C, C++ Scripting language experience: bash, sh
API experience: GEMS, REST
Support tool experience: jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, SBM
Familiarity with satellite command and control systems
Be a team player and work in a genuinely collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To have:
NRO experience
5 years launch or systems engineering experience
Thorough knowledge of Government launch policy and procedures
Experience with agile management tools

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $71,300-$146,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
