More About the Role:

  • Perform research and analysis of project technologies to identify requirements and document data to validate system, subsystem, software, equipment, and component compatibility; identify and provide recommended solutions to interface problems; review and monitor system tolerances; perform system tests to assess performance, safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability; and review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for impact on system interfaces IAW Government Furnished Information (GFI)

  • Develop Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Verification and Validation (V&V) events, including operational demonstrations, for new and emerging project technologies.

  • Analyze the technical data required for the development of Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) and verify that the supplied data is sufficient using TRD checklists.

  • Design and engineer Test Program Sets (TPSs) and consolidated automated support systems.

  • Develop test plans, test procedures, test beds, test sets, and reports as part of T&E events. Testing includes system qualification and first-article testing, production acceptance tests, and quality evaluations

  • Conduct T&E and V&V for systems, subsystems, and components

  • Document all test activities and results

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Perform a variety of systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software encompassing techniques and procedures often regulated by a software development process with the purpose of improving the reliability and maintainability of software systems.

  • Establish software information and engineering requirements which is necessitated by the potential complexity of those software systems, which may contain millions of lines of code.

  • Apply the discipline of software engineering for specific technical problems and procedures, including knowledge, tools, and methods for software requirements, software design, software construction, software testing, and software maintenance tasks.

  • Relate the disciplines of software engineering to the disciplines of computer science, computer engineering, management, mathematics, project management, quality management, software ergonomics, and systems engineering.

  • Duties required for this task order and for assigned projects include:

  • performing software engineering

  • conducting rapid prototype DevSecOps

  • creating accreditation artifacts

  • executing test events

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Security Clearance

  • 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in system engineering or computer engineering, or another closely related field is preferred.

  • Experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Verification and Validation (V&V) events for systems, subsystems, and components

  • Able to provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.

  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Has extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Able to lead and direct the work of others.

  • Recognized master in technical discipline

  • Experience establishing operational plans for technical area

  • Experience developing and implementing innovative products, processes, standards or operational plans achieved through research and integration of best practices that have impact on the achievement of functional results of a project or system

  • Significantly improved on existing processes and practices​

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance

  • DAWIA Sys Engr Level II certification is highly desired

  • 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in system engineering or computer engineering, or another closely related field.
