About the Role:

  • Contribute to a roadmap for technology improvement recommendations, insertion, and transition associated with project technology.

  • Contribute to gap analysis to identify documentation required to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of transition to production and fielding, including maintaining the technology throughout its lifecycle.

  • Support the planning of the entire lifecycle of the technology implementation in order to develop a well-planned systems engineering approach

  • Draft and provide recommendations on a wide variety of documents related to project technology required IAW DoD and DoN directives and instructions

  • Research evolving emerging technologies and develop approaches related to project technology to significantly enhance the functionality and capability of both manned and unmanned platforms.

  • Support trade studies, engineering, technical analyses, and assessments for tasks in support of various UAS Navy platforms including legacy systems and new technology systems.

  • Apply engineering and analytical disciplines to verify that the processes and products used in the design, development, fabrication, and installation of prototypes comply with applicable specifications and Configuration Management (CM) plans

  • Coordinate information collection which will be required for the development of Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Verification and Validation (V&V) events, including operational demonstrations, for new and emerging project technologies and the design and engineering of Test Program Sets (TPSs) and consolidated automated support systems

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provides test and evaluation of hardware and/or software development.

  • Develops and documents test plans and procedures

  • Conducts testing

  • Evaluates and documents results

  • Prepares studies, plans, and analyses in support of the delivery order

  • Duties required for this task order and for assigned projects include:

  • focusing software testing integration in test and evaluation (T&E)

  • plan development

  • integrating T&E Planning in the Design

  • conducting T&E

  • performing Verification and Validation (V&V)

  • writing test artifacts.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Security Clearance

  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in system engineering or computer engineering, or another closely related field preferred

  • 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Experience conducting T&E and V&V projects

  • Recognized master in a technical discipline

  • Ability to implements strategic goals

  • Experience establishing operational plans for the technical area

  • Experience developing and implementing innovative products, processes, standards, or operational plans achieved through research and integration of best practices that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results of a project or system

  • Experience significantly improving on existing processes and practices

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance

  • DAWIA Sys Engr Level II certification

  • Master’s degree and/or Ph.D. in systems engineering with undergraduate degrees in system engineering or computer engineering preferred, or another closely related field

  • 14 years of experience in the field or in a related area
