CACI has an immediate opening for an Information Systems Security Officer at the U.S Coast Guard ( USCG) at Curtis Bay, MD.
CACI is seeking an Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Specialist to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the U.S Coast Guard by providing system level oversight and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support to secure information technology systems aboard USCG Cutters and Boats. Securing these systems will help prevent incursions to shipboard information systems while Cutter and Boat crews perform the many roles ranging from interdicting illicit drugs entering US ports, defending terrorist incursions to our ports and coastal waters, and maintaining coastal aids to navigation to keep our vital shipping lanes open.
As the ISSO, you will:
Work with a team of Government, Active Duty Military, and other contractors to designate the information technology type of each assigned system.
Develop system security plans using RMF processes for each system by categorizing, selecting, and provide implementation guidance for appropriate security controls including upload of artifacts substantiating the implementation or POA&Ms development as required.
Support RMF system assessment and authorization by developing and iterating POA&Ms in response to Security Assessment Reports.
Monitor the cybersecurity posture of each assigned system, responding to incidents as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
At least five years of directly related Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity experience working with DoD or USCG systems
8570 IAM level II qualified
Working knowledge of these references: CNSSI No. 1253 “Committee on National Security Systems, Security Categorization and Control Selection for National Security Systems,” DoDI 8500.01 “Cybersecurity,” DoDI 8510.01 “Risk Management Framework for DoD IT,” FIPS-199 Pub “Standards for Security Categorization of Federal Information and Information Systems,” NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4 “Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.”
Demonstrated ability to convey complex IA data to a wide variety of IA savvy audiences (that is from no IA knowledge to industry expert)
Hold a current Secret level clearance
Working knowledge of the COMDINST M5500.13 (series) “Coast Guard Cybersecurity Manual.”
Demonstrated experience with platform information technology (PIT) or PIT System
Demonstrated experience using eMASS
Hold a current Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III credential: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP, or Associate), GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC), or Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
