CACI International Test Engineer/Analyst in Dahlgren, Virginia

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for determining the optimal approach to test complex products or solutions assuring compliance with appropriate specifications.

  • This includes identifying and recommending product or solution characteristics to optimize testing or to provide diagnostic test data.

  • Combines customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions acknowledging technical abilities, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complex test events.

  • Coordinates integrated testing activities, reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program, performs technical analysis of complete systems, and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

More About the Role:

  • Maintain and execute routine manual and automated test standards to test information technology products, equipment, and systems.

  • Perform unit, functional, or system level test of tactical weapon system software.

  • Design test procedures and provide some technical expertise on specific products, operating systems, and specialized environments.

  • Configure hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.

  • Participate in the development of test environments using test automation tools and agile methods.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. This position specifically requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Astronautical Engineering. OR

  • Three (3) years of fleet operational weapons systems experience or two (2) years general experience in an engineering environment related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Information Systems, Electrical or Software Engineering. OR

  • Three (3) years of test experience. Familiarization with Configuration Management (CM) processes and Configuration Control Board (CCB) support including performing requirements traceability.

  • Ability to support certifying targeting software infrastructure

  • Ability to read and understand complex code

  • Ability to assess vendor supplied automated test suites

  • Ability to review requirements, formulate test plans and test procedures

  • Ability to write technical documentation and test results

  • Knowledge/expertise of static analysis tools

  • Static Code Analysis detailed knowledge

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with naval weapons systems and their sub components, general purpose tools, and Launcher.

  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of naval weapons systems equipment aboard a surface or subsurface platform.

  • Experience using navy Operating Procedures, Standard Maintenance Procedures, Casualty Procedures, Corrective Maintenance Procedures, and other reference documentation required to maintain/operate navy weapons systems.

  • Experience with fleet operations and battle group operations.

  • Experience with Configuration Management tools such as the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
