More About the Role:

As a Building Management Coordinator, you will coordinate all facility functions, and will coordinate maintenance or facilities services for tenant organizations.

The mechanical systems required to service buildings at this level include those necessary to provide the occupants with utilities and temperature control (electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems).

Maintenance and operating requirements are generally stable and predictable. Service needs of occupants are generally stable and recurring, and relate primarily to providing adequate building maintenance.

The need for extensive renovation or alteration to facilities is infrequent.

Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting agreements or contracts with tenant agency representatives.

Work tasks may include coordination of complaints regarding building services, partition changes, overseeing loading dock receipts or shipments, facilitating internal reorganizations moves, furniture maintenance or changes, and notifying agency representatives of planned facilities improvements or any other temporary inconvenience to tenants.

You may also be directly involved in overseeing the carious aspects of the building's operating programs. This oversight may include observing and reporting on the work of a small number of trades and/or custodial workers, usually though working leaders, and are directly involved in setting work schedules, recommending preventive maintenance, and reviewing facilities and maintenance work for adequacy.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience providing building services maintenance and the standards associated with management of office buildings and equipment;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing .

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field;

  • Professional certifications in a related field; and/or

  • Experience working for GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS).

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $30,700-$61,400. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
