Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.

  • Modernize DevSecOps pipelines to introduce increased automation and performance improvement

  • Develop a cross-domain deployment strategy for synchronizing code across networks

  • Introduce improvements and clarity into the developer experience

  • Modernize operational platform to Kubernetes

More About the Role:

  • Hiring for a dedicated and driven DevSecOps Engineer to support operations and maintenance of a custom tool. You would work collaboratively with a small team to deliver microservices to multiple networks that support the user experience and automate processes. The Self Service tool streamlines the onboarding experience various tools across a DevOps product line that includes GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes and many other tools, services and platforms.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

  • Performing regression testing or procedural quality assurance checks or ability to automate testing procedures.

  • Familiarity with database administration like Postgres, MongoDB, AWS RDS.

  • Ability to clearly document procedural steps to include deployment processes, How-To User guides, and Release Notes.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Able to work both within a team and autonomously as tasks dictate.

  • Able to digest new technical information at a rapid pace for practical use.

  • Appropriate time management capabilities - able to both pace workload and provide feedback to leads on task progress.

  • Eagerness to improve efficiency and streamline work procedures.

  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Lv2/3 certificate aligning with DoD 8140 requirements.

These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing and delivering software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud services.

  • CI/CD pipeline experience using GitLab or Jenkins.

  • Experience with Git and configuration management processes.

  • Experience using Docker on Kubernetes.

  • Experience providing Customer Service support to end users.

  • Ability to identify and document software bugs, security findings, and performance issues and communicate back to a software development team.

  • Ability to clearly document procedural steps to include deployment processes, How-To User guides, and Release Notes.

  • Ability to coordinate directly with multiple product teams for service integration and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of agile development practices, including Agile Scrum methodology.

  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies, and guidance.

  • Ability to work in classified facilities and open unclassified office environments.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
