What You’ll Get to Do :
We are seeking a system administrator for a complex and ever-changing system with a fast-growing user base. Your responsibilities include installing virtual/physical systems using secured operating systems, assisting with system security accreditation, maintenance of On-Prem and cloud-based servers, and automation of deployment of these systems.
As a system administrator you will have the opportunity to:
Build and Maintain Infrastructure as Code for cloud-based services
Build and Maintain Configuration Management for cloud and On-Prem Hardware
Assist in establishment, maintenance and troubleshooting of cloud-based and on-prem systems
Provision and maintain secure operating systems for workstations and servers
Work in a team environment to solve complex problems.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
Education: University Degree (BA/BS) in engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years related work experience
Strong grasp of Linux
Experience installing and configuring various COTS products
Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification (like Security+)
Candidate must have an active TS/SCI; a current CI polygraph is preferred, else obtainable within 6 months of hire
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Configuration management tools (ex. Puppet, Git)
Plan, implement, and maintain Hadoop clusters using Cloudera distribution
Sizing the cluster and planning for growth
Understand the concepts of horizontal/vertical scaling, replication, data locality, rack awareness
Cluster health monitoring
Command-line and browser-based administration
Adding storage and replacing defective drives
Backup, recovery, and business continuity planning

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
