CACI International Mechanical Engineer in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Work on a Hardware Team at LGS Labs to help design mechanical systems for customers

  • Collaborate with engineering staff

  • Handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously

  • Assist in identifying and organizing requirements

  • Interface with subcontractors and vendors to develop requirements, design, pricing, and proposal developments

  • Assist with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion

  • Generate and review 3-Dimensional models, drawings, and diagrams in order to design, capture project details, and produce finished products

  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization

  • Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing

  • Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs

  • Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce and iterate development plans

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent BS degree

  • 5 years demonstrated mechanical engineering design

  • Proficient using CAD software (SolidWorks, ProEngineer, AutoCAD, etc.) and Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional knowledge of providing technical assistance with the design and implementation of mechanical/electrical systems

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment in support of mechanical component fabrication

  • Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience

  • Experience with machine shop operations and manufacturing process

  • Experience writing customer system specific manuals which include detailed drawings, test plans and procedures

  • Ability to work under pressure for quick-reaction projects

  • Ability to conceive and propose solutions to complex mechanical design problems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Thermal simulation experience

  • ProEngineer experience

  • Designing RF and electronic enclosures experience

  • Designing portable, battery-operated systems experience

  • Soldering experience

A TS/SCI clearance is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.
