Opportunities in position include:
Work with a senior RF Design Engineer.
Aid power amplifier designers develop new, wideband power amplifier technology.
Design, build, and test passive RF circuits in the lab.
Operate RF Test equipment, VNA's, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes.
Take basic measurements on antennas.
Solder components to boards or rework boards as necessary.
More About the Role:
If you receive the position, the RF team you will be working with is very technically strong with great personalities. We take a collaborative approach to solve problems and we have fun working together. A typical project would include meeting with your mentor to discuss plans, work in Microwave Office or HFSS to design a circuit, take the designed circuit to the lab where it can be milled, and then testing the circuit. Other parts of that project will include generating a plan for the project, conducting design reviews, and generating a final report on what was accomplished and learned during the project.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must currently be enrolled in a full-time Graduate program or getting ready to enter a graduate program.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)
Familiar with S Parameter measurements
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Pursing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred, not required.
Currently taking or previously taken any active RF design coursework that involved RF power amplifier design
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $41,200-$82,400. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
