More About this Role :

You will be responsible for leadership and management of a RF and Hardware Test Engineering team with impact to development and planning/implementation for programs depending on next generation technologies, quality management systems, process development and improvement, and overall customer and employee satisfaction; all in support of the U.S. government and national security. Our customers continue to rely on us to solve hard, technical problems and to provide the latest technology that enables them to execute their missions. You will have the opportunity to solve our customers’ problems by contributing at a technical level and by supporting and leading your team while working alongside them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow high performance technical teams to innovate and execute both short-term and long-term project goals.

  • Manage execution of programs for multiple government customers, including applied research, integration and transition phases. Work with project managers to manage budgets, schedules and staffing.

  • Provide staff leadership and oversight to include hiring, performance management, career development, technical direction, and workload management for your team.

  • Establish process improvements to increase product quality, efficiencies and overall customer and employee satisfaction.

  • Identify new business opportunities with new and existing customers, match customer needs with department capabilities, lead/contribute to proposal teams to generate responsive and competitive proposals.

  • Contribute at least half of your time working on customer tasking and/or internal research and development (IR&D) efforts.

  • Promote change and innovation in support of the organization’s objectives

  • Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job (requires U.S. Citizenship)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree and 6-8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience

  • Master’s degree preferred


  • Demonstrated leadership ability in implementing value-added process improvements and motivation of a highly skilled team while maintaining a strong customer focus

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in coaching and/or supervision of technical staff and building customer relationships

  • Experience with government programs

  • Understanding and experience with technical project management best practices including a quality focus

  • Hardware design experience in RF design and hardware test

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance

  • Basic understanding of cellular systems and commercial cellular technologies (GSM, CDMA, LTE, UMTS and 3G/4G)

  • Knowledge of analog and RF hardware designs

  • Knowledge of microprocessor and microcontroller-based designs

  • Knowledge of interfacing digital and RF components

  • Knowledge of board development tools and change management systems.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $86,200-$176,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
