CACI is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (Mod-Sim) developer/operator to employ the ACE-IOS suite at the 505 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
Under minimal supervision, act as primary model operators and scenario developers for the Air, Space, and Cyberspace Constructive Environment – Information Operations Simulation (ACE-IOS) suite supporting multiple sites to include the 505 CTS, JS J7 Suffolk (VA), and several overseas (OCONUS) locations for training and exercises.
Support program office computer programmers providing other technical services such as computer software system design and development, installation, and integration planning, testing, and security administration.
Perform local system administration on the ACE-IOS servers and workstations as required, including the monthly OS Config updates sent from the San Antonio development location.
Develop site-specific software products as needed. These would be normally limited to maintenance scripts, database population scripts, and utilities needed to better perform the functions at that location.
Assist in the development of scenarios and other ACE-IOS simulation data requirements needed during the execution of exercises and training events. Work activities are performed under general guidelines and direction.
Design, build, and populate simulation databases based on customer exercise requirements.
Perform technical liaison duties to other sites especially the JS J7 in Suffolk, VA. This will involve remotely operating ACE-IOS in various network enclaves, both classified and unclassified, at numerous government locations.
Learn and master multiple simulation protocols and environments to include the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) High-Level Architecture (HLA) Federations, as well as Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol federations.
Perform technical development and consultant activities, coordinating between software engineers and military personnel to develop and deliver highly complex military scenario simulations.
Provide computer system support for design, development, installation, integration, planning, and testing of new hardware and software.
Develop and maintain multiple information and exercise databases, using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, Linux, SQL, and PERL script writing. Exercise Support; travels worldwide to various exercise locations for two to four-week periods.
Perform technical liaison activities, coordinating with military and government personnel to provide solutions to exercise issues. Operate the ACE-IOS suite of models.
Provide intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI).
Research unclassified and classified data sources to populate databases for use in written products, simulation scenario development, and model/simulation operation.
May serve as a client liaison and coordinates with sub-contractors, government personnel, and technical experts.
Technical Degree – Intelligence, Communication, Mathematics, Sciences, etc.
Ten years of directly related experience, solid Computer Science background.
Must possess and maintain active/current TS/SCI clearance.
Normal demands associated with an office environment.
Ability to work on computers for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face.
May spend a lot of time standing due to exercise conditions.
Instruction on ACE-IOS will be provided by industry-leading experts.
