CACI is seeking a hard-working mission minded individual for a FIeld Engineer opportunity in Fairfax, VA .

What You’ll Get to Do:

Field Engineer to support a position in Northern Virginia (Herndon). Up to 50% travel is required both CONUS/OCONUS for this position. Travel to conflict/war zones may be required.

The Field Engineer will deploy, install, and maintain servers, routers, switches, telecommunications systems, UPS systems, and desktop PC hardware in support of customer IT infrastructure and enterprise operations.

More About the Role:

The Field Engineer is responsible for procedural input to the planning, preparation, and execution of all projects. Must have the ability to complete complex assignments without direction and direct those engineers that are more junior. Ensures that systems are implemented in a tight time frame. Additional Field Engineer duties shall include but are not limited to the following:

• Evaluate sites for the installation of equipment

• Install applicable equipment (with racks if needed)

• Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers

• Install and connect applicable cables

• Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Requires 10 years experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs, however expertise, training and actual work experience with specific systems and/or technology is significantly more important than the number of years of experience

• TS/SCI w/ poly is required

• Experience in IP Related Services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP (Desired)

• Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches (Desired)

• Experience with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems, to include installation/connection (Desired)

• Working knowledge of CAT 5 and CAT 6 cable, connectors, and demonstrated capability of fabricating required equipment

• Experience using Remedy, VISIO, and MS Office

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds or more.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$77,200 - $162,200
