Job Description:

CACI is looking for an SAP Basis Administrator HANA DBA to manage a new SAP-based development effort. The desired candidate will work as an SAP Basis Administrator HANA DBA supporting an SAP S/4 HANA Suite (SAP) Federal agency ERP shared-service program. As an experienced professional in CACI's growing Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS), the candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success. The candidate will support management and maintenance of multiple HANA database instances part of SAP S/4 HANA Suite (SAP) shared-service solution. This includes readiness and flexibility to add additional instances based on capacity planning and emerging new government requirements. The selected candidate will ensure production uptime service levels are maintained and made available per requirements that include backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and security. Work as part of a technical team supporting HANA environment across lifecycle phases including planning, installation, configuration, patching, change management, backup, and recovery planning.


  • Plan and respond to service outages including backups and restores

  • Monitor system performance and diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution

  • Provide patch management and distribution capabilities to prevent new threats with minimized physical infrastructure impacts

  • Create and test data backups

  • Provide data cleansing services, verify data integrity, and implement access controls

  • Perform database configuration, monitoring, and tuning

  • Provide routine maintenance including problem defect analysis and resolution, space, storage, object management, physical database layout, rollback segment management, and temporary space management

  • Support logs and alerts, access rights and roles, database instance version control, new IDs, roles, authorizations, audits, locked/unlocked status, and revocation

  • Perform memory usage monitoring, database parameter configuration, database resources, I/O distribution

  • Ensure system health, maintenance, technical security, recovery, and basic application technical tuning

  • Maintain SAP Critical Upgrades and patch management schedules

  • Support testing and fielding efforts as needed

  • Support Systems Sustainment efforts as needed

  • Supports software Development, Migration, and Integration efforts as needed

  • Contribute to work plans for security analysis and recommendations.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with ten years of related work experience, with at least 5 years’ large-scale SAP ERP support experience

  • Experience using SAP Netweaver 7.5 SAP BASIS 750 and Solution Manager 7.2 to manage and monitor environments

  • Experience with installation and support of SAP HANA database, HANA DB 1.00. 122 (HANA 1.0 SP12 Rev 122) & HANA DB 2.00. 050.0 (HANA 2.0 SPS05 Rev 50) database

  • Experience implementing or migrating to Cloud Service Provider (CSP) environments

  • Experience upgrading SAP HANA databases

  • Working knowledge of Maintaining DoD security Standards and Rules, including those related to the databases (e.g., SAP HANA CPU patching, access management, direct grant, db links, etc.)

  • Experience with security monitoring, managing, and testing, such as JAVA's, patches, STIGs etc.

  • Experience designing and implementing single sign-on architecture of various supporting application such as SOA, SAP Process Orchestration using available tools including but not limited to SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal

  • Experience with SAP HANA database administration in a federal environment

  • Experience with Windows and Linux environments

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS and/or Azure)

  • Experience supporting integrated solutions for federal financial processing

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice to have skills:

  • Prior SAP Federal Financial Management experience supporting Federal or DoD customers

  • Relevant certifications, to include SAP HANA Database Administration, OCP, ITIL, etc.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $93,300-$200,500. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
