CACI is looking for a Business Operations Manager to join our NSIS (National Security & Innovative Solutions) division, supporting our Photonics team-- we are expanding! With a core technology base that includes high-speed electro-optics, fiber optics, and high-power lasers, our laser communications technology is helping NASA provide high-definition video from the International Space Station, and to explore asteroids 250 million miles away. Our other optical technology can also help scientists discover biohazards; support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions; and protect soldiers from explosive devices. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Develop strategic initiatives to improve efficiency throughout the business.

  • Mature and enhance business processes and procedures.

  • Define, implement, maintain, and grow a set of business management tools for the business.

  • Resource planning and management across the business. Plan, track, and maintain:

  • Staffing resources

  • Capital resources

  • Government equipment resources

  • Licenses

  • Software Tools

  • Lead Photonics lab and office space strategic planning. Work with the Facilities team to implement the space plan. Oversee lab management activities.

  • Define and drive processes for receiving, tracking, storing, and distributing engineering parts and equipment.

  • Lead staff planning activity and reporting:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic staffing plan

  • Coordinate staffing meetings with Functional Managers and Program Managers to assign staff across existing contracts

  • Plan future staffing by incorporating sales funnels into the staffing plan.

  • Enhance the existing staff planning tool set and capability.

  • Organize, standardize, and maintain program information storage sites and folder structures.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze key business performance measures, and performing cost-benefit analyses. Research channels for cost reduction.

  • Develop plans for scaling business operations.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports on all assigned projects.

  • Solid written communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas in writing in a succinct and organized manner.

  • Good conflict management skills

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Good Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a business operations role or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.

  • US Citizenship required
