CACI is seeking an FPGA Engineer to work on the development of our photonics product line.
What You'll Get To Do:
This role will require understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of designing FPGA solutions for Optical and Electro-optical products. You will have demonstrable experience designing such solutions in a mil-aerospace environment with aggressive time-scales.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
BS in EE or similar field and experience in designing DSP/FPGA solutions
Ability to obtain and maintain minimally a Secret clearance
HDL coding in VHDL or Verilog
Pin and Timing Constraints management
Timing closure and place and route of highly utilized devices
Experience in verification through simulation and testbench development
Demonstrated ability to debug FPGA designs in the system
There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment, you will be required to obtain a clearance.
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Communications systems, associated algorithms and their design. This includes an understanding of RF filters, signal modulation/demodulation, channel coding (FEC), RF signal acquisition, RF frequency control (AFC)
DSP baseband signal processing and task scheduling
Programming FPGA devices using C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink and VHDL
Mixed signal requirements including quantization bits, dynamic range (SFDR), power consumption and the design of baseband equivalent models. Experience designing solutions to overcome imperfections in the optical signal path
Demonstrated ability in bringing up custom hardware with FPGAs or SoCs
Experience with SoC’s such as Ultrascale +, Zynq 7000, etc.
Experience with softcore processors such as Picoblaze, Microblaze, RISC V
Experience with DMA and AMBA Buses such as AXI/AXIS and ACP
