What You’ll Get to Do :

CACI is looking for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our LGS Labs team. As a Linux Support Engineer, you will perform a variety of computer systems administration and support tasks including providing IT support to CACI-LGS Labs employees nationwide.

More About this Role :

  • Provide support for a variety of computer systems administration and support tasks

  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs

  • Provide support of RedHat / CentOS Linux servers in VMWare virtualized environment

  • Maintain accountability of all high priority IT requirements, manage requirements from creation to completion.

  • Provide Linux and Windows system administration support (Red Hat or similar flavor, CentOS, Windows Server 2016/2019 etc.)

  • Communicates with end users to resolve issues a soon as possible

  • Provide administration of users/LDAP, storage, logging, printing, file sharing (smb), access control, monitoring, backups, etc.

  • Report to management on all IT requirements on a regular basis, escalate requirements that need immediate attention and/or are high priority for customers.

  • Resolve internal customer task and incident tickets in Cherwell / ServiceNow in a timely fashion, while providing great customer service

  • Provides Tier 2/3 technical support for assigned systems

  • Assist team in troubleshooting and resolving issues with LGS Labs issued computers and mobile devices

  • Image and deploy end user computing equipment to users

  • Collaborate with other teams to fix ongoing issues that may not be the responsibility of this team’s role

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • IN depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Hands on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB

  • Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills: includes product knowledge, communication and listening, problem-solving, professionalism, action-oriented task management (multi-tasking), and confidence.

  • Must have good work ethics and show diligence in work performed.

  • Must take initiative and ownership of customer requirements and tasks.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and web-based interfaces.

  • Knowledge of IT system processes involving requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, test, and support of hardware, software, networks, security, and life-cycle support.

  • Schedule : Full-time

  • Travel : Occasionally

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline with a minimum of two to three years of related experience.

  • Experience in supporting large organizations (1500+ users).

  • Experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of large, complex, inter-networked systems.

  • Experience with using MS Word, MS Visio, SharePoint, and Cherwell.

  • Experience supporting Federal Government agencies, especially DoD

There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a Secret clearance.
