CACI is looking for a Mission Assurance (MA) Engineer to help support Photonics Lab Division. Under minimal direction, you will support quality and mission assurance activities in engineering and production environments for complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems. The MA Engineer will interface with suppliers, program personnel, senior management and, in some cases, directly with the customer on MA and quality-related issues and audits.
What You'll Get To Do:
Support the Photonics Lab Division with maintenance of an AS9100D certified quality system.
Support programs by interpreting and ensuring compliance to customer quality and MA requirements in program plans, specifications, and product drawings.
Represent Mission Assurance at various program reviews and review boards
Participate and lead in the disposition of non-conformances, including identifying of containment requirements, establishing root cause, and identifying corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Perform first article inspections
Conduct hardware inspections including developing inspection methods to analyze product quality and documenting results and findings after inspections are carried out.
Support data-driven continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluate suppliers for addition and maintenance on Approved Supplier List
Lead product sell-off with customer by preparing and presenting required documentation
If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Knowledge of and experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems
Understanding of fundamental engineering principles, practices
Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, models, specifications), interpret drawing dimensions, features, and parts lists, develop inspection plans, and identify critical features
Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Knowledge of root cause and corrective action methods, such as Ishikawa, FMEA, FMECA, 5Why, etc
Proficiency in data collection and analysis using software tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
Knowledge in the areas of design, production, product evaluation and reliability, inspection/test, and/or contract review as they apply to product or process quality.
Ability to work independently
Must Be A US Citizen.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and a minimum of 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and related experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Blackbelt, or similar certification preferred.
Experience with optical devices and optical fiber preferred.
Knowledge of and experience in Printed Circuit Board Workmanship standards and inspection methods
Demonstrated competence in electro-static discharge (ESD) assessment and control
