CACI International Quality Engineer in Florham Park, New Jersey

Job Description

CACI is looking for a Quality Engineer to help support our Photonics Solutions business unit, within our LGS Division. Under general direction, you will support engineering documentation, product quality assurance and configuration management for complex electronic, mechanical, and optical systems.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Support the Photonics Solutions business unit with implementation and maintenance of an AS9100-compliant quality system.

  • Support the Photonic Solutions Quality Assurance Manager on development programs for photonics space hardware. Ensure compliance with customer’s System Mission Assurance requirements.

  • Execute departmental Corrective Actions, Change Controls and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Support customer audits of the Photonic Solutions and program-specific quality systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are established, communicated, and adhered to.

  • Provide support for Government proposal submission processes, including material pricing, QA labor estimates, and technical volume write-ups.

  • Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.

  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out.

  • Participate in quality-related initiatives to improve process, investigate and qualify tools and infrastructure.

  • Conduct audits of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures as well as to the AS9100 standard.

  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.

  • Knowledge in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

  • Experience in developing and implementing quality processes and documentation.

  • Experience in electronic/photonic materials assessment and materials properties.

  • Experience in Government proposal submission process.

  • Experience working with electronic components including life cycle management, vendor interaction, and inventory control.

  • Experience with optical devices and optical fiber a plus.

  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance requirements a plus.

  • Must Be A US Citizen.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and a minimum of 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and related experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Blackbelt, or similar certification preferred.
