CACI is seeking a Quality Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Florham Park, NJ, under minimal direction, manage several elements of the AS9100 quality management system and other process quality initiatives to remain in alignment with business needs. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of engineering concepts and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business.

This position is full-time, based at our Florham Park, NJ facility, and reports to the Quality Manager. Working remotely up to 20% may be permissible based on the manager’s discretion.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Support and continuously improve the Quality Management System in support of manufacturing operations at the Florham Park, NJ facility. Additionally, support as required Westminster, CO and Albuquerque, NM facilities

  • Develop and prepare reports and presentations to communicate process performance and monitor key metrics

  • Oversee the Internal Audit Process, audit schedule, performing audits, audit reporting. Perform supplier audits as needed.

  • Ensure Corrective Actions for process and/or product nonconformities are defined and implemented in a timely manner

  • Handle documentation of nonconforming material and ensure timely disposition. Evaluate need for CARs. Issue SCARs to suppliers.

  • Prepare the organization for third party audits

  • Collaborate with the director, managers, and individual contributors within Manufacturing, Engineering and other disciplines to sustain and improve production processes and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Update quality process work instructions and procedures

  • Lead investigations into internal and external escapes

  • Evaluate suppliers for inclusion onto the Approved Supplier List

  • Oversee the employee training program. Maintain training plans in PLM System. Ensure assigned training is completed on-time.

  • Maintain relevant Quality documentation as part of our AS9100 certification

More About the Role:

  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position

  • Some travel may be expected for this position (up to 5%)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with Quality Management System Standards

  • Established knowledge of engineering and manufacturing operations

  • Strong communication & presentation skills

  • Ability to lead cultural change towards quality

  • Ability to successfully work across multiple levels and organizations

  • Experience in data analysis and procedure writing

  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis & visualization

  • Strong computer literacy, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field of study or two years of salient Quality experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Quality experience in Aerospace and/or DOD environment

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

  • ASQ Certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Daily Management / Gemba Meetings

  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems
