CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Architect located at Ft. Belvoir, VA. Come Join CACI in supporting the U.S. Army G-6 to lead the Army’s network modernization to deliver timely, trusted, and shared information for the Army and its mission partners.
What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support the U.S. Army G-6 to lead the Army’s Enterprise Architecture Program to deliver timely, trusted, and shared information for the Army and its mission partners. If chosen, you will get to work with an agile, fast paced team building mission integrated End-To-End Architecture to support our client’s needs. If chosen, you will have the opportunity to work on highly visible Army projects. YOU will be a critical component in taking complex problems and delivering solutions.
Define policies, procedures for ingestion and normalization of data following best practices and architecture development efforts in capturing data (e.g. DoDAF, TOGAF, UAF, FEA, etc.).
Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, deliver designs, etc.
Define processes for management and integration of Army Architecture data, processes, and use
Establish benchmarks for existing and future architecture development IAW Army Requirements documents.
Leverage existing tools to capture data.
Develop recommendations, support staffing, adjudicate comments, and deliver revisions to General Orders.
Interact with clients and business partners to document the Current As-Is Enterprise Architecture.
State interfaces to adjacent architectures and define the data requirements across each interface.
Define and scope the Army Operational Environment development.
Work closely with team members and clients to research and troubleshoot issues.
Identify critical attributes of Army Architectures, which must be addressed.
Provide direction to subordinate architects and architecture repositories to maintain, upgrade, transition, and/or develop architectures within the "To-Be" standards and criteria.
More About the Role:
As a team member supporting Army G-6, you will provide technical services to include:
Responsible for the review and occasional development of architecture products that correspond to the Operational Views (OV-1, OV-2, OV-3, OV-4, OV-5a/b, and OV-6 a/b/c) to describe a requirement for a “To-Be” architecture in logical terms, or as a simplified description of the key behavioral and information aspects of an “As-Is” architecture. System Views (SV-1, SV-2, SV-3, SV-4 a/b, SV-5a. SV-6 a/b, SV-7, and SV-10c) (alignment to the NR-KPP), StdV-1, StdV-2 (if applicable) using Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework and DoDAF 2.0 architecture documentation in Magic Draw. All Views (AV-1), the written content describing the concepts contained pictorial representation in the OV-1. Data and Information DIV 1/2/3 Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data and Information Viewpoint. Capability Viewpoint (CV-1, CV-2, CV-3, CV-4, CV-5, CV-6, and CV-7).
Support architecture comment adjudication and updates for Information Support Plan (ISP) development including coordination with stakeholders for final adjudication.
Ensure Net Ready Key Performance Parameters (NR-KPP) and Requirements documentation (Capability Development Document (CDD), etc.) have the correctly aligned architectural information included and are synced with the detailed system level documentation for architecture equities.
Work in a team environment and help shape the culture to encourage innovating ideas
Participate in peer review to ensure accountability.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Analyze Army architectures and work with engineers and other architects to design responsive controls to ensure end-to-end business processes.
Work with product and technology leaders to develop and own practical objectives and key Enterprise Architecture results.
Identify strategies for addressing requirements, risks, and issues, and conduct detailed trade-off analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues. Resolve issues and create architectural vision.
Manage and improve critical models such as Business Reference Model, Performance Reference Model, Technical / Technology Reference Model, Security Reference Model, and Service Reference Model.
Assist the Army in selecting technologies that address Zero Trust Architecture, emerging threats and vulnerabilities, facilitates continuous delivery of value, and improves upon existing security processes.
Ability to perform ad hoc duties.
There is Secret clearance requirement to begin employment.
Requires 5 years of demonstrated Enterprise Architecture experience with a preference for DoDAF.
Intermediate knowledge/experience must include a wide range of work in reviewing, creating diagrams, and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems, including network topology.
Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and deliver high quality deliverables by deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work.
Design user stories, user journeys, etc.
Conceive novel solutions within existing systems.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Enterprise Architecture Certification from FEAC or similar
DoD or Army experience, preferably at the 1/2/3 Star level
Working knowledge of Cloud technologies and migration approaches
Understanding how the Army operates.
